The app
Spiral does not collect or transmit personal data to the developer. The app makes no network requests and has no ads, in-app purchases, analytics, tracking, third-party runtime SDKs, Game Center, or accounts. It does not request access to contacts, location, photos, the camera, or the microphone.
On-device data
Spiral uses Apple's UserDefaults storage within the app's local data container to remember:
- Sound, haptics, reduced motion, control sensitivity, inverted controls, the selected color palette, preferred play mode, and whether the tutorial was completed or skipped.
- Best score and greatest depth for Classic and Zen separately, with earlier scoring bests retained on their original scale.
- Up to 20 recent recorded runs: mode, score, scoring-rules version, cleared rings, best chain, duration, date, and a locally generated run ID. The run ID distinguishes records; it is not an advertising or device identifier.
- Lifetime recorded-run and cleared-ring counts, and the longest chain.
These values support settings and personal statistics. They are not sent to the developer or used for advertising. An in-progress run is not stored as a resumable saved game. Tutorial practice does not create a run record.
Older run details are removed as the 20-run history fills. Best scores and lifetime totals remain until statistics or app data are cleared. Preferences remain until changed or app data is removed. A statistics reset does not reset preferences.
Backups and removal
Depending on your device settings, iOS may include the app's local data in an iCloud or computer backup. Apple handles those backups under its own terms and your settings. This is not developer collection, and Spiral does not operate its own cloud storage or cross-device sync service. The developer cannot access or restore your local statistics.
Deleting the app removes its local data from that device. Offloading the app keeps its documents and data. Deleting the app does not necessarily remove existing backups, and restoring a device backup may restore older app data. Manage backups separately through Apple's device and backup controls.
Support messages
If you choose to email aagrawal207@gmail.com, the developer receives your email address, message, and any attachments you send. This information is used to respond to your request and investigate the reported issue, not for advertising. Email is handled by the email providers involved and may remain in their mailboxes and backups.
Do not send passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information. You can use the same address to request deletion of support correspondence held by the developer. Copies retained by email providers are subject to their policies. Sending email is voluntary and separate from playing Spiral; the app does not automatically attach gameplay data or diagnostics.
This website
The support site uses static HTML and CSS. Its pages contain no JavaScript, analytics, cookies, contact forms, third-party embeds, or externally hosted fonts and assets.
The website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may process request information, such as your IP address, browser details, requested page, and request time, to deliver and protect the site. See GitHub's privacy statement. This is separate from the app's local game data. Opening an email link uses your chosen email application and provider.
Apple services
Apple handles App Store downloads and may process device diagnostics according to your Apple settings and Apple's policies. Spiral includes no app-operated analytics or crash-reporting service. This policy does not replace Apple's policies or control operating-system services.
Changes and contact
If Spiral's data practices change, this policy will be updated with a revised date. Privacy questions can be sent to Abhishek Agrawal at aagrawal207@gmail.com. Gameplay help is available on the support page.
